Bsure was quickly implemented, and Moelven soon recognized the value of the application:

“With Bsure, for example, we saw that many users who were assigned an F3 license weren’t fully utilizing their E3 license. With the insights we gained, we were able to switch these users to a more cost-effective license type, saving money,” says Holmen.

By using Bsure, Moelven has adjusted their licensing program and allocation patterns based on the insights they gained from actively using Bsure in their license management.

Quick overview during a supplier data breach

In addition to gaining control over our licenses, the tool has many other use cases. Earlier this year, one of our suppliers was hacked, and this gave Moelven another opportunity to see the value of Bsure.

“We used Bsure to review the password policies for all our users. Bsure had already collected this data and allowed us to systematically review our users,” explains Geir Morten.

The next steps with Bsure

Now that we have used Bsure for ad-hoc license and password policy clean-up, we plan to systematize our approach and make even greater use of the application’s functionality.

“Our strategy is to actively use Bsure to provide our subsidiaries with insights and ownership of their own data. By utilizing the functionality of sending out automated reports, we’ll constantly be reminded of issues that need attention,” reflects Holmen.

Moelven sees that with Bsure, they can become more efficient in many areas, but the most obvious benefit is how much easier it will be for them to distribute costs going forward. With many subsidiaries, they can now set up automated reports, enabling ready-made cost allocations within minutes.
